Dr. Byron Anderson, CRNA, APRN is a doctoral-prepared anesthesia professional with a
distinguished background in anesthesiology, critical care, and advanced perioperative medicine. With more than 17 years of healthcare experience, including certification as an Adult Critical-Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and extensive Level I trauma exposure, he brings a depth of expertise that reflects both academic excellence and real-world mastery. His doctoral work focused on evidence-based pain-management innovations, and he continues to apply advanced principles of physiology, pharmacology, crisis intervention, and patient safety to elevate the standard of anesthetic care across diverse and high-acuity settings.

Dr. Anderson’s clinical foundation spans trauma anesthesiology, burns, stroke, and complex critical-care environments. He has practiced at nationally recognized institutions such as Grady Memorial Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center and Certified Primary Stroke Center, as well as Atlanta Medical Center & UCSF Medical Center. His background includes ventilation management, advanced resuscitation, multimodal analgesia, high-risk surgical optimization, and anesthesia delivery for patients with complex comorbidities. His work as a senior clinical instructor at Emory University further highlights his strengths in scientific teaching, leadership development, and integrating chemistry, physics, and evidence-based practice into modern anesthesia training.

For nearly eight years, Dr. Anderson has practiced as a fully independent and solo CRNA, which has culminated in his current role as Director of Anesthesiology and Chief CRNA. He is recognized for building high-performing anesthesia teams, overseeing clinical operations, and developing systems that enhance quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
